Raine Vivian started as a Side project of Amerikan Slave In 2001 In Chicago Illinois. “Amerikan Slave was a Very noisy and distorted industrial band. I really liked where it was going but wanted to branch out and find my own voice in music and poetry”.  Amerikan Slave Broke up in the October of 2002 And Raine could Put all of himself in “Raine Vivian”.

Raine Vivian Then got relocated to Santa Fe New Mexico (Raine’s Home Town) and started doing live shows in local Coffee shops, and Teen workshop centers. “I was Surprised how well people responded to what I was writing due to the Industrial Influence and Melodic Textures. Most people that go to the shows are more in the punk and metal scene, so it made me think maybe they just never get the chance to be exposed to that type of sound”. After playing in Santa Fe only for a year or so, they started branching out to Albuquerque. “We had an Extremely hard time getting shows hooked up anywhere due to us being extremely young, But there were a few individuals that stayed by us and believed in us the whole time ignoring our age and treated us like Musicians. Another problem I run into is I’m influenced by so many types of music, that a lot of people will like an angry guitar driven song, but then when I break out the Piano and sing like a girl people are a bit shocked… On the album I’m screaming and all of a sudden it stops and the next track “Inside Out” comes in, and its classical piece with only piano and strings and you’re their like “What the fuck?”. But I would never want to stick with one thing anyway”, Commented Raine.

“Falling You” is Rained Vivian’s first album written, preformed, produced, recorded and mastered purely by A. Raine Vivian, with the single “In Love with Gravity”. “It has a lot of Variety throughout the whole album. I’ve been working on it for over 2 years, constantly changing the track list, cutting and adding songs. I’ve been trying to capture a curtain mood/Experience”. At the Currant time Raine Vivian is in the work of a remix album entitled “Failing You”.

“Ideally I would like to expand out to... well. everywhere.. and make/play what I Love creating.

Mainly I just want to make music”.

Reviews

Raine VivianFalling You (Gravity and the Starts Between us)

“Solely composed, played and produced by Raine himself, "Falling You" is a sensuous Journey through intense Pleasure and pain. The music takes you on a beautiful Adventure through the inner psyche of being in a state of Self-persecution and denial. A trip we humans often take after our hearts have been maimed by one we trusted entirely.

At first listen the songs may remind you of Nine Inch Nails or Gravity Kills, but each listen makes it harder to find comparisons. Raine has the potential of a Industrial rock Icon.

Like a lover, this CD will pound you occasionally, and other times it’ll whisper in your ear. How sweetly eerie and erotic the sound of tortured youth is”.

“Melodic, Brilliant piano, and strings, with grinding sounds and lyrics of Poetry.

Pain. Confusion. Denial. Who would be more qualified than a teenager to write about these things?”
